Current Recuuiting: Senior Market Research Consultant, Beijing

Green Industry Market Research Company Ltd. (GIM) , a specialist market research agency based in Beijing, is currently seeking a professional market research consultant to work in the company’s Beijing head office. This role will involve the initiation, undertaking and overall management of various different market research projects, the conducting of interviews over the telephone and face-to-face, mainly with senior commercial contacts and suppliers, as well as analysis of the results and writing of reports. This role has the scope to touch on many different types of products, as well as a wide range of companies and markets.

For the right person this position will provide an interesting and satisfying opportunity to operate with a high level of autonomy in meeting strict deadlines. The successful applicant will also have the possibility to become a product specialist and develop their own ideas for research projects.

Key Responsibilities
ndependent management and undertaking of research projects
Designing of questionnaires
Face-to-face and telephone interviewing
Data entry and data analysis
Analysis of results and formulation of strategies
Writing of reports
Business development

Required skills and qualities
Outstanding research skills (keen ability to investigate, identify problems and raise potential solutions)
A clear and confident communicator, with good verbal, written and presentational skills
Excellent report writing skills
A strong interest in the fields of renewable energy and building efficiency
The ability to work according to budget and to meet strict deadlines
The ability to balance meticulousness with commercial demands
A highly developed and creative approach to problem solving
Computer literacy (current software packages used include Microsoft Word and Excel)
Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin)
Good inter-personal communication skills

Qualifications and Experience
Educated to at least degree level in business or a related discipline
At least five years of work experience in market research
Previous experience in the renewable energy, energy conservation and building efficiency industries would be a strong asset
